Big Brothers/Big Sisters

This sold-out Derby Gala raised record funds for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. The theme, "Start Spreading the News," was announced in custom-designed invitations, giving recipients the hint of the New York supper club ambiance they would enjoy. Striped chair covers, dance floor, feathers and even tabletop lamp shades, were all in black & white. The city skyline was custom built to fit this riverside venue. Cocktails and a fine dinner were followed by a cabaret song & dance team and a full dance band.

Creating this first-class event accomplished two things: 1. it drew attention and attendance, and 2. enhanced the image of the organization. The director of the non-profit was able to tell the audience about the hopes and needs of Big Brothers/Big Sisters. We hope the word continues to spread.
